Measure your EverQuest Legends fights

It does not just count what you did: it tells you what to change. And every figure says where it comes from.

It measures every fight, tells you what to change, and keeps your whole history. And while you play it writes its own encyclopedia: every zone at every difficulty, every enemy with its estimated health, what it resists and what it drops. You can watch any fight again second by second, or let it warn you out loud without looking away from the game.

The stance advice, measured against what actually hit you in that fight: how much each one would have prevented, and what it costs.

A desktop app that reads the EverQuest Legends log file while you play and tells you what happened in each fight: who put in what, who took the hits, what was cast and how long it stayed up. It does not touch the game or talk to it: it only reads a text file the game itself writes.

What it does

Your side

Who put in what, and at what real pace: damage against the seconds they were actually doing something, not against the whole fight.

Taking it

What was thrown at you and what never landed. Almost half of all attacks are avoided, and that gets counted too.

What each one cast

Every spell, who cast it, when, and how long it stayed up.

Recommended stance

Which stance would have saved you the most damage, inferred from your classes and from what hit you.

The log

The original lines of the fight, with what happened just before and just after, without leaving the app.

Encyclopedia

A file on every enemy: what it hits with, how hard, where it lives and what it drops.

Replay

Watch the fight again second by second, with the numbers floating over each combatant.

Overlay

A panel on top of the game with what is going on, without leaving the screen or going through the app.

Not just a meter

It talks to you while you play

It warns you out loud about what there is no time to read: your invisibility is fading, you have been summoned, a spell of yours was resisted or interrupted, the enemy is casting a heal or a charm, more enemies have joined. And it reads the chat aloud — tells, group, guild, raid, shouts, auction or any channel — so you do not miss what your people say while you are looking somewhere else.

And it remembers everything you meet

As you work through the zones and their difficulties, every enemy you face gets written down: its estimated health, what it hits with and of what kind, what it resists and what it drops. Nothing to fill in and no wiki to search — the file writes itself from the fights you have already had, and it grows every time you play.

What it does NOT do

It does not modify the game or communicate with it. It sends your data nowhere: everything it measures stays on your computer. It only reaches the network to look things up on the EQL wiki — icons and enemy pages — and to check whether a new version exists.

Requirements

Windows 10 or later. Nothing else: no account, no connection to work, no administrator rights.

The replay

Watch the fight again second by second, with the numbers floating over each combatant like in the game. It comes from the log, re-read — not from figures already added up: every number you see is a line of your file.

The replay

The text panel takes what passes a threshold, and these are the thresholds: crits, deaths, casts, stuns and interrupts, and any second above 318 damage — three times this fight’s median second, which carries 106. And hits above their own ability’s p90.

It is free, and it is going to stay free

EQL Parse costs nothing, carries no ads, asks for no account and sends your data nowhere. The code is there for anyone who wants to look. If you find it useful and feel like it, you can buy me a coffee: it unlocks nothing and gives you no advantage inside the app — it just keeps new versions coming. And if you would rather not, that is fine too: download it and use it.
